Default XD seat

Are there any mods out that will allow us to adjust seat height or exchange for new front seats? I'm 5' 10" and I can't find a driving position where the rear view mirror was not in my line of sight when i'm looking out through the wind sheild. It's more of safety issue than comfort. Thinking about moving the mirror. Any suggestion?

If you want to talk about safety, I would suggest you stick with the stock seats. Those seats are specially designed because each seat inside contain an airbag that's used to protect the rear passenger in case of an accident. You will be throwing out two good airbags unless you can find a replacement seat with the same features.

If I were you, I would just place a good old fashion pillow on the seat and buy me some broadway mirrors. To be honest, the xD rear window can only see so much compared to a sedan. I rely on my side view mirrors more often.

The mirror has two ball joints so you can move it higher and of course change the tilt. Try adjusting that first.

Also, if you want a broadway mirror with good finish choices, let me know. My sponsor, Tweaked Ice has broadways for a very good price. He carries a black chrome mirror too, its so pretty!

Thanks ChelsDS, didn't realize the mirror was double jointed. I was able to raise it towards the roof line and view is much improve. Who ever it was that was in the car before I bought it , must of pulled it lower towards the windsheild.

Oh yay, glad that helped you! I think its totally cool that there are two ball joints on the mirror. It's almost like they planned that the mirror might be a pain for some people...
