Default My xB is dead, long live the xB (pics from phone)

So, a little over a month ago, an Expedition tried to impregnate my box from behind. The results were of course catastrophic. Needless to say, the Expedition had to be towed. (front end smashed into the tire and wheel.)
My xB on the other hand, went to salvage. (body had new slight twist that made me very sad and glass blew all to bits as back moved closer to front) I was stopped and the Expedition was doing 35 or so. I suffered only bruises, aches, pains and anger. Long story short. I ended up with a new xB (2009) and thus the ride continues, though not in my sorely missed old xB.

We are loosing first gen xBs at an alarming rate........there needs to be some sort of petition or something to put our cars on the endangered species list.

Speculation ran that way, and they were cited for inattentive plus a couple other things.

After 20 months and over 26000 miles car lost about $1000 in value, so paid loan off and got cash to start payments on new car. These cars held value. My wife and I discussed a new one (again hard to find and harder in manual) And decided for the money to pick up a new car. (new xB - 2009)

It's a shame to lose one. Funny thing is my 3rd car (doesn't get out that much) is a '74 VW Thing. It was funny to see them side by side in my garage. The Thing is rare and has held it's value over the years.

Ya,me and the also hit people in front of me were commenting on it as I took the picture. Kind of ridiculous for only 26000 miles. Tires didn't last very long. I'm a fairly slow driver for the most part (was getting 34-36 mpg) and that's really ____ poor tire durability.

I'm amazed at how well it held up, sorry to see it go, but happy to know that it can hold up to that... I wonder how it'll hold up to a crown vic or caprice on 24's....

Always to hear another Box go.
They are not making these any more and
will become more of a Classic as Time Goes By.
Glad to hear you are OK.

Ya thats why i drive really alert and if I would of just hit the person or let them hit me I would have wrecked it more then 6 times so I am lucky but good to know you are ok man. Hope you like the new Xb lol. They should add our cars to the endangered list because they only made them for 4 years and that is ___ they should of kept the old body. I bet they sold more of them than any other toyota car or truck alone. LOL!!!! But what ever they need a new look LOL!!
