View Full Version : ? about credibility of mcgeorgeparts.com
OutCrnrU 12-09-2004, 05:39 AM Are there parts really TRD? or knockoff with the TRD name. Only reason i ask is because they have really good prices, almost too good, i work for toyota and i cant get the parts the cheap, especially there package deals like the TRD suspension package for 480$!! Also I ask casue the parts guys say the only place to get real TRD parts is the dealer itself, so if anyone on here has some insight info about who mcgeorgeparts really is that would be great
ScummyMcOwnage 12-09-2004, 05:50 AM http://mcgeorgescion.com/ They are a dealer in VA. who knows how they do it, but they are genuine TRD parts.
Ranthese 12-09-2004, 05:55 AM I've seen three places able to provide the suspension package for $500. Search suspension thread for my old posting. So it can be done!
panasoanic 12-09-2004, 06:13 AM I can vouch for them. I bought mud gaurds for under $30. Genuine Toyota.
sciontc_mich 12-09-2004, 06:29 AM i've bought from mcgeorge's a couple times and things were fine.. just because your dealer charges a crazy high price, doesn't mean other's can't sell it for less.. chances are it didn't cost that much for the dealer in the first place..
DL_tC 12-09-2004, 06:39 AM i bought the sway bar, springs, mudguards, cargo mat from them. they are genuine products. good service. very professional. if you just do a search for mcgeorge, you will probably see many good reviews about them.
jlaznlover 12-09-2004, 01:01 PM they sell genuine TRD parts. i have ordered from them, and they have great prices on their products. i give them a A+
johnnyicesae 12-09-2004, 02:39 PM Do the trd parts(specifally the Sway bar) have to be installed by a dealer to "officially" count under the warranty? Only reason i saked is i have a friend thats a mechanic who'd probably help me out for a case of beer instead of shelling out and arm and leg for labor.
basilisk4 12-09-2004, 02:50 PM www.mcgeorgeparts.com and www.trdsparks.com are both Toyota dealers. I am partial to the latter.

TRD parts not installed by a dealer retain a one year warranty for defects from the date of purchase.
3_IGs 12-09-2004, 03:14 PM McGeorge parts is great. Easy to contact and deal with...very friendly folks...fast shipping...and they stick by their product.
I rcvd a TRD RSB from them that had a questionable weld...called them and they shipped out a new one the next day w/ return UPS sticker for the original one.
zoltiz 12-09-2004, 03:18 PM McGeorge guys are good guys - but the crazy prices on TRD suspension parts will not last past their current inventory - it was a blowout sale by TRD - not a price war, so by now TRD emptied the warehouse they were closing and the extra good deals will end. Hurry :)
BSP_5c10n 12-09-2004, 04:39 PM Yeah McGeorge is great. And they're genuine toyota. At least that's what the box my exhaust came in said...
djaaronp 12-09-2004, 05:00 PM My springs came in a Toyota box that had Toyota written all over it. They are an actual auto dealership.
The springs and floor mats are genuine and my mudguards are on the way.
By the way, their online ordering only allows you to select Ground or Overnight for shipping rates. I called and asked them if they shipped 2-day and they did. The guy grabbed my online order when it was placed and changed the shipping to 2-day and quoted me the exact price they charged.
I will do business with them again assuming their prices remain competitive.
McGeorge and trdsparks are both really good.
BoostedBlueToyotas 12-10-2004, 01:33 AM I would say they are genuine parts :)
I also bought the TRD suspension package off of Ebay for $450. All the parts (springs, struts, swaybar) came in TRD
boxes
The other parts I have bought have been at about 30% off
of list (subwoofer, foglights, mudflaps). They also were definitely Toyota parts (er... Scion)
silverstarsciontc 12-10-2004, 02:44 AM My friend got a bunch of parts from them. Very good dealer.

Both of these dealers are real dealers with genuine TRD parts at really good prices. Your store could have gotten in on the 'limited time' TRD sale, but must have missed the announcement. The sale is over, but some dealers still have some of the sale parts left over.
