Sorry if this has been covered already, but I did a search and didn't find anything. When I first start my car after it's been parked a while, the engine coolant symbol lights up blue for the first few miles. I know that blue is good and red is bad, but is it supposed to light up and stay lit like that every time I start the car? And if so, what's the purpose of it? Thanks.

Yes that is normal. It comes on until the engine reaches normal operating temp, and then it goes off. Nothing to worry about. It's been covered a number of times already :D

Cool...Thanks. At least I know when the heater will start blowing warm air. :) It just kinda freaks me out a little because I keep thinking my high-beams are on.
