I was pulling up to a ATM window and well - *scratch*

Anyway to fix this? Or does everyone think new rims would be better?

 

Why get new ones right now. May happen again and then you'd REALLY be mad.

 

A good point. And part of the reason I haven't bothered to do anything about the rashes on a couple of my OEM wheels. I'm careful, but ____ happens and I'm not going to go nuts over it.

 

I wish there was an easy way to fix it, but from what I've heard, it's an expensive procedure that you have to have done by a pro - real money outlaid. I've had mine pretty rashy looking for a couple years now and I just keep drivin...

 

y'know, over time, they just tend to kinda "smooth" themselves out so that its not so visible.

 

Man, I hate that when it happens. I always just use a small file and some sandpaper and blend in the rash to the wheel. Takes about 30 min but it looks a lot better then a rash.

 

ya..sandpaper..polish..and maybe a little shot of clear coat

 

What type and grit do you think is needed?
