Price is $1350. 12-09-2004, 08:02 PM Adding a moonroof will add extra weight to the car (not much, but it's there) Also, you'll lose around a inch or more in the roof so if you're the tall type, you might want to hold off on it until you get some low bucket seats. Custom jobs are fairly expensive and range a LOT from shop to shop. I would ask around for a a few quotes before bringing it in for them to chop up the hole in your roof :D kyle_husky 12-09-2004, 08:08 PM This is an example of a Scion xA with Hollandia 524 GrandView Panoramic Sunroof . This one will looks almost the same as the tC factory sunroof. 8) http://www.webastoshowroom.com/images/04ScionXA_524_rgb72.jpg I was thinking to install this, but this is too large for me if I got it install in Boston, we have so much snow and wind and rain. So I just had my dealer to install the one who looks like exactly the RS 1.0. :o djllorens 12-09-2004, 08:40 PM get rs1.0 the roof's stock hehe. No, I go it in yuba city toyota for $15,995 hotbox05 12-09-2004, 08:56 PM http://www.webastoshowroom.com/images/04ScionXA_524_rgb72.jpg nice man i love that big ol piece of glass. looks sweet wanna get somethin like that for my box Reno 12-09-2004, 09:01 PM This is an example of a Scion xA with Hollandia 524 GrandView Panoramic Sunroof . Those are hot for your box. Yeah, I'd agree a sunroof is a MUST HAVE for the xB. xB with Hollandia 400 Deluxe Power Folding Sunroof http://www.webastoshowroom.com/images/04Scion72rgb.jpg With Hollandia 322L Power Spoiler Sunroof: http://www.webastoshowroom.com/images/Toyota_Scion_300LS_04.jpg hotbox05 12-09-2004, 09:24 PM hmm i like the big glass a lil better. i've always wanted a sliding rag top but i think it'd look better on an old aircooled bug or my old bimmer. hmm how much do those panoramic glass roofs run?oh and i hate how that glass sunroof slides over the roof. not cool in my book. easier tho i'm sure i'm afraid of losing rigidity tho. hmmm maybe one day. my box will be tight in a year or two. panoramic sunroof , air suspension , 17's and 2zz? hell yeah . lol . one day but seriously thats my plan well than and a bbist vented hood and cf spoiler. kyle_husky 12-09-2004, 09:53 PM If you install a sunroof by your dealer, you can get a cheaper price but it won't be this kind of sunroof. Also, this one is life-time warrantly. If you install a sunroof by your dealer, the warrantly would only goes for 3 years. You might want to goto Webasto website to check that out: http://www.webastoshowroom.com/locator/locator_main.html but i would say the price range would be from $1300 to $1500 Reno 12-09-2004, 10:00 PM If you install a sunroof by your dealer, you can get a cheaper price but it won't be this kind of sunroof. We install these roof's here and have for years. where did you get this info? hotbox05 12-09-2004, 10:00 PM installed or just parts? i'd probably do it myself or have my buddies shop do it . hotbox05 12-09-2004, 10:01 PM what about loss of structure and rigidity? kyle_husky 12-09-2004, 10:09 PM hotbox05: what about loss of structure and rigidity? well...good question. So I end up with having my dealer to install it for my safety. But I was saying is that the Webasto got better style sunroof than my dealer. My dealer just help me to install the factory sunroof that the RS 1.0 has. TOAST3R 12-09-2004, 10:17 PM if i had a xA id be sporting this sunroof http://www.ieatbrains.com/albums/mnscions/IMG_0941.sized.jpg http://www.ieatbrains.com/albums/mnscions/IMG_0938.sized.jpg http://www.ieatbrains.com/albums/mnscions/IMG_0926.sized.jpg rudy luther scion in wayzata, MN had that on the lot one day. hotbox05 12-10-2004, 01:08 AM ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ that is uber awesome. eugovector 12-13-2004, 02:18 PM Any prices on either of those big roofs, the hollinda or the one below it? sindekat 12-13-2004, 04:56 PM Here is the inside pic of our Grandview- http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=35993 plus a few others. Great roof -we've sold around 10 of them-and 1 of the canvas ones so far marcelino PS the roof will fit the xA but it may be a little too big-I'd go with the double roof posted on this thread.[/img] sindekat 12-13-2004, 05:09 PM it runs about 1700 installed eugovector 12-13-2004, 07:36 PM The thing that I really like about the sunroof in my 91 camry is that it slides into the roof, not over (like the TC) It looks like the holinda grandview does that, but the dual sunroof on the blue xA doesn't. Is this the case. If so, I think I'd want the holinda, not the double. Any pros/cons to the dif type of roofs? I know the ones that slide in lower the headroom a couple inches. |
