Looking to get a set ok 18's TSW Snetterton
18X8 5-100 35HS


Does anyone have a feedback on these rims?

Do I need any wheels spacers for this set of rims?

What size tire is better? 225/40-18 or 235/40-18?

is that 35 offset??

225/40/18 would be Best....

U can always go to like Discount Tire and have them "trial fit" the wheels & Tire to see if it rubs etc...

not my favorite tsw rims but still looks good.

i wouldn't go that far, they're decent though. i know how they make cast wheels and lets just say cast wheels are extremely brittle and are damaged easily

I am Intrigued to know the "process" of how TSW makes their wheels verses other companies Nebby...I know u be the correct person to come to about this since you are the Wheel Expert.

 

i never said TSW in particular i just said that i know how they i.e. multiple manufacturers and when casting wheels it results in a fairly strong but very brittle wheel which if the right amount of stress hits it the wheel will literally explode rather than bend or crack.

 

Damn thats some intense stuff!! Cant belive what that would feel like

 

tcchris38 dont worry bout it dude....thats a really nice wheel you chose. the only way it will ever "explode" is if you prerunner in the damn tc or dive into a 4' pot hole...
btw where did you order them from?

 

Ordered from discount tire. They didnt have it in stock so it will be a couple of days before they are sent out to me

 

i wouldn't go that far, i used to have motegi's (cast wheel as well) and one of the wheels had a giant crack on it in the middle of the wheel and it wasn't visible until i took the wheels off to rotate them. this was just with "normal driving" not with 4 foot pot holes or anything crazy. Just because you ahven't had problems doesn't mean this individual wont. basically my point is this. good stuff isn't cheap and cheap stuff isn't good. Your entire car runs on the wheels, do you REALLY want to risk it? i don't.
