I just installed a t3t4 godspeed turbo on my 2005 tc and it is now at the shop having a few things done to it. I have installed a transmission cooler on the car and it is set to be tuned on monday. Does anyone know how much power i can put through that safly to keep it a dd. Is anyone else running a turbo on an auto trany?

 

browndog was running a Dezod on an auto. I think he had over 250 WhP on it

 

SoFloTC is using an slushbox too. I forget how much he's putting down - I'm thinking somewhere in the 230whp range.

Tranny cooler was a good idea.

Safe is a very general term. If longevity is what you're after, then the lower the power the better.

A 200whp auto tC is still very fast.

well so far its working great. its in the process of being tuned but i did crank it a few times and even drove it around the neighborhood once just to test it out. It seems like its working very well though.

 

is it the same one for 1100 on ebay?

 

well im running 7psi on auto and putting around 280 so far everything is good keep in mind i only drive it 3 times a week, Norco to orange county

those numbers do not make sense. Another auto (krdshrk) has the same kit and is at 220 on a dyno dynamics at 7 psi. and if i remember correctly 6 psi on a stick was about 230-240ish. i really don't see how you are making 280 at 7psi....on an auto no less, with all that drivetrain loss.

 

yeah it was the same one. it just had a few small things to replace on the kit and it was a solid kit. The oil feed line and the oil return flange was cracked. But now it is about up and running. on monday it will be finished.

 

280whp at 7 psi on an auto is not likely. Please post a dyno and pics.

 

yes please post dyno and pics and tell us what he did to make that transmission strong enough to hold that type of power. I would love to make 280whp but with the setup i have right now i just dont think its possible.

 

seriously doubt it. 280 at the crank at best...and even then...doubtful.
