What affect on MPG does Cold Air Induction have
It will generally lower you MPG unless you have a engine that is generally considered de tuned by the factory and by adding a CAI you are simply uncorking more HP. But even there odds are that you will still see a drop in MPG.

theoretically is should get you better gas mileage. but usually when someone adds a CAI they tend to drive more aggressively, to hear the growl, which in-turn will make your gas mileage lower.

My nBeetle is that way. If I drive it quietly, better mileage. But if I drive it to hear the growl, then yes, the mileage goes down.
I plan on getting one for the xB in about three weeks. Curious as to how growls.
