Ok its time to clean the inside of the 08. Since the dash is a flat black what does everyone use to clean their interior.

I spray Meguiar's Interior Detailer on to a micro fiber cloth and wipe. Works well for me.
(Hey! Don't call me cheap. Call me "frugal"! )

I've never used anything other than a damp (water) microfiber towel, and after 2.5yrs it's still looking like new.

 

vynilex from lexol. this stuf is the shiznit. it realy cleans any gunk that you have built up, and doesnt leave stuff too shiny.

 

What about cleaning/scrubbing the armrest? What would be best for that?

 

fabric cleaner and a soft scrub brush id say.
just take it out and clean it, the dry it, and re install

works well if you buff it out right and gives it a SUPER high gloss.

As a Floridian I don't like to use much past a wet towel anymore.

DO NOT USE ARMOR-ALL. Yeah call me a noob but for the longest time it has worked for all my other interiors. However, the Scion interior hates this crap. A few months after I got my 07, I experienced some severe dash warp and had to get the interior completely replaced (we're talking dash and side doors too). It was all covered by warranty but the heat just tore my car up.
