Has anyone used there wheel paint yet. I've seen it advertised in magazines and on the t.v. And I'd just recently read up on it on their webpage. It looked pretty solid, but I just dont know how its going to hold up to the elements?

They have this bronze finish that I'm totally digg'in! After purchasing a can yesterday at lunch and playing around with it on some wheels back in my area. I still can't come to a decision on whether or not to use it on my wheels. I figure if they don't sell by the end of the year, I'll attempt to try it out, since I orginally wanted bronze wheels in the first place.

The paint goes on really smoothly, and drys within seconds. But in afew tests, I've notice that the surface scratches rather easily, and wonder if clearing over this will aleviate this problem.

Lemme know what you guys think. I'll post pic up on afew wheels i did later 2nite...

I painted a set of wheels about a year and a half ago. Used the Dupli Color graphite grey. Wet sanded my wheels, then applied severals coats evenly. Came out amazing. I had the wheels for about 4 more months until I sold them. They held up to everything that the road had. They also sell a clearcoat to further protect the wheels that I didn't use. I am confident that in combination with the clearcoat the wheels would be very resistant to chipping/fading etc.

I waited about a day, b4 I put the paint to the test. Seem to fair pretty well, I was just really concerned with the 'elements' attacking my wheels shortly after hitting the pavement.

Now if I can only convince the miss. LOL Its still a possiblity.

I just mounted up the wheels the other day, and I actually like the contrast from the body color. The original finish just might work for now! :wink:
