My box at the Air Show - 56k :-(
this last weekend hosted the airshow here. it was a great 3 day event with awesome weather. we opted to take the box and im glad we did because the rear hatch provided some shade for lunch to have our own little tailgate party. here are the pictures...

and of course the box was there...

great show this year. i know most of the pics are of the C-17 but that is the jet that i fly on so of course it is my pride and joy of the bunch :-)

Great Pics!!! I am loving all of the pics of the C-17. the company that I work for is the sole repair facitily for the APU's on the C-17 and I have actually been designing tooling and test equpment for Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah which is 30 miles north of Salt lake so the Air Force can overhaul and repair the APU's for the C-17. the APU is an Axuilary Power Unit and is just one small part of the airplane.

thanks for all the kind words. glad everyone likes the pictures. i did get some pretty good vantage points for photos which helped to document the event. i was able to shoot at ISO 100 almost all day. maybe a few bumped up to 200. about 1/1000th shutter for the action shots and a few pictures slightly cropped because my max reach was 200mm.
not really, it's not one of the super SLR cameras. Just Nikon's smaller D40x. you've just got to know how to use the thing. that goes for all SLR cameras though. just say NO to auto mode! lol. i wish they didnt even come with auto. only manual and the priority modes so that people would have to learn how to use them.
