Three of my co-workers and I went out in the Xb and, when I would turn, the rear wheels would rub. This is the first time I had 3 passengers in the car (2 in the back). They are full grown adults, but not obese or anything extraordinary.

Has anybody else experienced this? This is unacceptable for a car that's supposed to be able to carry 3 full sized adults in the back seat.

I would say that the two guys in the back were about 350-400 pounds between the two of them. Not little people, but one is of Viking desent, the other is a bit shorter than the average Joe.

It rubbed on both sides, if I remember correctly. I guess I'll have to wait and see the next time I have people back there.

surprised no one has mentioned this yet... but could it be the added weight of your sunroof?

they usually add a couple hundred lbs. depending on the type and size. anyways, i'd add up the weights of occupants and the sunroof and see if your exceeding the limit.

I was gonna say take it to your dealer, and have a couple of them sit in the back while you drive around, but....... if you have an aftermarket sunroof, and the added wieght is causing the rub, then your screwed. Something like a sunroof would probably void any warrenty, the dealer will just look for a way out of it. JMO

yep. i'd say the dealer will say it's your sunroof that's the problem.

i'd get some stiffer springs all around and it'll probably fix the problem.

ChickenAdobo , where have you been man. we have been waiting for you to stop by the shop! :D It sounds like maybe you have something else rubbing or maybe your shocks are defective. It can happen, let me know if you want me to throw the car on the car on the rack to inspect it for any scratches. 8)

I haven't had any rubbing, and I had two Drill SGTs in the back seat that totalled at least 450 lbs between them. Not too mention the 250 lbs'er aand my fat 210 lbs in front. Oh, I forgot to add that I have the 2 inch Spy drop, Hotchkis bars, and 17x7-42 offset w/ 205/40 tires.
