lol...if i make them for people...anyone interesed? i basically made a transparent colored plastic gauge for the backside of the speedo. So..its not going to burn off etc. I could probably reproduce a bunch of them in different colors. there were a couple secret tips...its not like you can just take it and cut a piece out. thickness, cutout points and how it layed flat were a few factors. Also...everyone that was having problems taking the cluster out because of the one plastic screw...just pull harder...it pops out and then replacement is easy

 

Does the screw break when you pull harder on it?

 

nope. its just one of those plastic screws with a sleeve. it popped right out. i actually didn't see it and then pop..it landed on my dash. thats nothing..it won't break

He already said he was using the plastic colored tabs from notebook dividers -

 

not plastic colored tabs. actual plastic transparent dividers

 

Hey Lip, Did you do the same way for the radio face?

 

no. thats stock. thats how close i got it to looking like the stock AC/radio/clock colors

 

But could it be done like the face, cause I want all my stuff to be red.

 

tomorrow if i get a chance i'll pull it all apart again and see if it can be done

That looks really good bro...I hate the mismatched color the Xb has. I would be interested in what you did if it is fact a reversible procedure. Hit me up if I can send you a few bucks to fab me up one of those babies!

 

i'll have to pull mine apart...but i just PM'd you. if anyone else wants them...i guess PM me. didn't think i was going to fab them really...but it wouldn't be that big of a deal. maybe i'll make a bunch of them just in case people ask.
