I actually love my tails... I like how the turn signal lights are red instead of the standard amber you'll find on the accessory version.

I had lambos from VDI but I got rid of them since my car is a DD and the shocks crapped out under 6 months from all the opening and closing. keep an eye on the shocks and get a new set before the 6 month warranty runs out

yeah i'm not a fan of the trd parts. they're just rebadged parts that they charge a fortune for. decent parts but for the dollar you could do better. EITHER WAY looks good

What a blatant waste of money... research research research and for goodness sake, do it yourself... only respectable way to do it. Anyone with money to blow can get it done for them, and waste hundreds, if not thousands along the way.

I got my JTautostyle hinges (identical design and great quality) and installed them on my tC for less than half that overinflated cost. VDI charges WAY too much for their setup and install, not to mention the rediculous cost of the TRD parts all over.

So sad to see...

Don't mind the look of vertical doors, just hate seeing people naively paying out the nose for things that just plain aren't worth the price.

Cheaper, Better, Faster, and Do it yourself, or Don't do it at all.

They only charged $100 for the installaion which normally costs $4-500. I don't pretend to know more than I do so no, installing it myself wouldn't have been a good option. Why do it myself when I can afford to have someone do it for me and do it right? Path of least resistance.

I earned the money and I'll wipe my ___ with it if I want to. Would it bother you any more to know I had ALL my TRD parts dealer installed?

Im not a fan. But I give props for doing it right. Buying the best and having it dont correctly. Something I agree, do it yourself, but something as important as this install, $100 is well worth it!!!
Sure beats trying to be cheap about it and 2 months later paying to have ti fixed.

Hmmm well of what I've heard "not my opinion or experience " kits from 200-2000, they are all the same stuff. like eBay to vertical inc. ppl have said that it all matters of how you install it, that what make it count and worth what you paid for. I don't have custom doors, just sharing information of people i know who has them. but in my opinion, if there is no difference of the products... which i dont know if there is, paying over a grand or two for them is ridiculous. for two grand i think i would want my doors to open & close automatically with a remote "out, up, then down, close." lol

well i like the RS3 but i wouldnt put lambos on it. But hey you like them so thats cool. I hate the TYC's. Stockies or Anzo's FTW!!

It is in fact your car, and you can overspend however much money you want on it...I just hope your $1600 kit doesn't ruin your fender and doors like so many before, who spent $250 all the way to $1600, because the tC's doors are the heaviest doors in all the land as far as the eye can see....

I, personally, would never ever put a vertical door kit on a tC. Our doors are heavier than most things pulled in an Iron Man competition; I can't imagine putting all that weight on a tiny hydraulic is very... healthy.
