I just thought I would share this with everybody who might be intrested. I just replaced my filter on my TRD CAI with a K&N RX 4010 extreme fliter this filter has filter on top as well as the sides and this design seems to force the air into ti CAI tubing much more efficently. Not only do I think this is a plus but my old TRD filter measurment went like top dia. 5" base dia. 6" and the length from top to bottom was like 5.5" -6" . this filters measurments are top dia 4" base dia 4.5" top to bottom 4.5
which I know a lot of xa owners that have the fog light issue will like better, and its easer to remove for cleaning. I know what some of you will say "is'nt the point of a big filter to have more surface area for air to flow through?" yes but I believe if your car can only allow say 450 cfm to flow through the throttle body why have a filter that has a 650 cfm capasity. K&N also make a reg CAI size filter if you really want a big filter it is modle #RX-4950 . But what ever your prefrance I do believe this filter is far better than those that come with most CAI & SRI. I like mine so much I just wanted to share that with all members since you guys seem to give me alot of pointers since I registered.

I thought about getting K&N, but I just got the AEM cleaning stuff from Jegs, because it was $15, shipped.

Still, a smaller K&N would make things easier...

i don't know about the AEM cleaning kit but I found the K&N and the TRD are basiclly the same.

I agree. The filter from my Fujita SRI is ridiculously large. 6.5" diameter at the bottom, 4.5" at the top, filter height is about 5.5". That's about the same size as the K&N intake filter from my 3.5 L, 250 HP Saturn Vue.
