i've checked the threads and haven't seen this question asked yet - what's up w/ my cell phone car charge kit and the super high pitch squeal it causes when the phone is plugged in?

i have a grounding wire kit (cheap e-bay, not the nice groundfusion or randode set). i have a disk on the negative terminal w/ 6 wires all running to various points - so i don't have the daisychain setup. i've checked the threads and the tech section and use the same connection points and everything seems to be snug.

so, is there a connection point i should hit specifically for the lighter? would the heavier guage wire kits knock this out? do i daisychain? do i quit whining about it and just drive? thoughts

Could it be interference caused by the cell phone's signal going through your speakers? I know when you put a cell phone near speakers, it will make crazy sounds every once in while, but it isn't constant.

i really don't know. perhaps it's the proximity - is the distance from center console to door speaker 'close'? i mean, it could be since i only hear it when the phone is plugged in - not when it's on and just sitting in the seat.
