Default header wrap and header blankets

i've did some search for header wrap and header blanket and theres not much info i can get from it so i'm hoping some one can help out.
have anyone try using either one of them before?
what is the benefits for using header wrap or header blanket on an aftermarket header?
i'm waiting for the weapon-r header and s-pipe combo to arrive and want to know what sort of method can i use to keep the engine bay cooler knowing the stock heat shield won't be reuseable.

get the extreme sterling coating, works much better than wrapping them, oh, and you just need to wrap the header, not the s-pipe.

the benefits of using a wrap or coating are to reduce underhood temperatures from the hot exhaust manifold to help maintain peak performance of the engine and not damage any components by exposing them to such large amounts of heat.

Raising the hood in the rear by using washers and extended bolts would help get more heat out under the hood but I don't know if it would look too good on the xb2 (but it would be the least expensive method).
