OK.... so it was just once or twice in the mornings but now its all the time....

When I stop, my engine revs up to anywhere between 2-3 grand when normally its at 500 rpms. This is ONLY when I stop and the box seems to go back to normal when Im driving. Ive not got any real mods to the engine besides a CIA and pulling off the power I have a 25 amp compressor for the bags. I had never had a problem with it all before until about 2 weeks ago. What could it be? Idle Air, throttle sticking, vaccuum leak? Anyone else have this problem. Im at 85,000 miles and since the bags dont really drive the box hard. Help! I just need to know where to start.

Auto or standard? If it's automatic you don't drive like an old lady do you? Both feet on the pedals...

Sounds like it could be a vacuum leak

OK.... so I think I figured it out. When I installed the new battery hold down I removed the throttle cable bracket. Duh. Why didnt I thnk of it sooner. It was just about the time it all started happening. Explains why its not high idle when driving (throttle cable tight) and when Im brakes (throttle cable is loose and it just want go back to where it needs to be all the way). Thanks for all those who offered up some help and no I dont drive like a granny. :P
