hip_2b_sqr 12-11-2004, 08:46 PM Here are some pictures of the two Audiovox XB's at Ultimate Audio in Orlando for some maint. The detail work is outstanding. You all sould try to see them when they come around at next show in your area. Picture don't do them justice.

grnxb 12-11-2004, 08:55 PM I like the bluish/purplish one. don't care about the tv's or stero, but those look nice as well.
TOAST3R 12-11-2004, 09:07 PM theres not enough tvs in those  there is such thing as an overkill.
griecos_xb 12-11-2004, 09:25 PM looks sweet, overkill ,not for a company to show off their product, thats what it's all for, to sell.
WheelSee 12-11-2004, 09:49 PM dman shame it's just audiovox...

chadfo 12-11-2004, 10:28 PM They look nice even thought it's overkill. Does this mean Audiovox is stepping up to play with the big boys or are they just trying to promote their traditionally less than average stuff?
Old_Punk 12-11-2004, 10:53 PM All that work, yet with stock steering wheels?
chadfo 12-11-2004, 11:03 PM Ha ha ha. I didn't pay that any attention Old Punk. You are right. That's a lot of work to leave that out.
its_ikon 12-12-2004, 12:00 AM damn, those are nice. must be nice to own a company and be able to do that
bamabox 12-12-2004, 01:01 AM I must be getting old, I remember when Audiovox was a notch up from purchasing car audio stuff from The Tandy Corperation(RadioShack)
BrianxB 12-12-2004, 01:03 AM From an installers standpoint, Id laugh at whoever did it. The cars dont flow. Mounting amps on the ceiling might look neat but completely goes against installation standards. An amp is designed to be mounted facing up or out, not upside down - to dissapate heat. The quality of the work looks alright but the ideas are poorly executed.
scionracerxb 12-12-2004, 01:25 AM Ding Ding Ding....and the winner for most rediculous and flagrant use of car audio/video equipment.......Audiovox!
hotbox05 12-12-2004, 02:10 AM even tho it is massive overkill the orange one is pretty nice. i like it . and i even bet that audiovox's top of the line is pretty good.
hip_2b_sqr 12-12-2004, 01:08 PM These are strickly show cars to showcase their products. They were built to take to shows like SEMA and other trade shows and vendor sponsored events. Unlike some other "pure show cars" the owner was nice enough to bring them out to one of Scion Dynasty's local club meets for everyone to see. There are some great customizing ideas going on here and a XB is such a small platform to pack all them into. I really liked to overhead center consol ideas and the way they have smoothed over and painted all the interior plastic panels. The interior paint detail is something to see in person. Overkill - yes, but I think that was the purpose here.
Max2k 12-12-2004, 04:45 PM Holy jesus, that's crazy!
snicka 12-12-2004, 04:48 PM Anyone know what wheels those are on the purple-ish one?

I think Alpine has them beat by miles.

who the people that build show cars? looks like one of their hobbies is their job.
spongebBox 12-13-2004, 04:24 AM with all those tv's in the car..all they need is a cash register in there too!
redneck69 12-13-2004, 04:53 AM i saw the orange one in person in motgomery alabama. i was on a trip home, got off the interstate to get some gas, i noticed an orange xb at a bp so i pulled in of course. come to find out a young guy and some girl were drivin the car. they told me it was a company car made by audiovox and what not, i looked all around it, very impressive, i was blown away, especially at my luck of being about to check it out in person

they are show cars... some shops actually take the amps apart and flip the internals before they install them upside down... some might not even be funtional... its for show... Some manufacturers hide the real amps that they use (some don't even use their own amplifiers!)
it's a crazy install... and it definitely took a lot of work and planning to pull off those cars...
Good job to the guys at ultimate audio...!
katchkillah 12-13-2004, 05:59 AM pretty nice for show cars. are those screens on the front 2 lower door panels also?
all the detail to fixing up they left the steering wheel and didn't utilize the space above the glove box.
if an of you guys would have went to david maus scion "show" a few weeks ago you couldve seen it, its pretty impressive and im not a fan of audiovox
The people that built it did an amazing job it looks great up close as well on pics
