AEM is really good about releasing CARB legal stuff. I figure it'll be legal within a few weeks or maybe a month or two.

thats a big jump in hp. and like teecizzle said, its a little hard to believe. i see the dyno chart but i would have to hear it from owners driving in real world conditions rather than a "lab test"

i always take those with a grain of salt since some like to exaggerate their performance increase

read the bottom of the image

"*Legal in California only for racing vehicles which may never be driven upon a highway."

and i am aware the the injen isn't CARB legal either, but more people have used and dyno'd with those than the AEM

I dont think intakes for the tC can be CARB legal because they all result in the removing of the carbon filter that in the upper half of the stock filter box

That could very true. I think some of the earlier years are carb legal.

i would just change the injen filter to an AEM and call it a day.. its the same dam tubing size and shape.

Well AEM does not do lab tests they do dyno testing on a mustang dyno. I don't think that AEM would advertise fake numbers. I am sure if you dyno a TC it will be close to what they claim and that would just depend on what dyno you use and if it is set up right.

i think it is.
go to scion.com > "tc" > "personalize" > "accessories" > "performance" > "trd cold air intake"

I don't know of any dealers that use MSRP pricing... Most companies go off of jobber. I just looked in the new AEM price book and they don't even list MSRP. It just has jobber pricing in it.

the fact that its a higher % in air flow is because the filter is not oiled. obviously its easier for air to flow through on a dried filter compare to pre-oils or oiled filter. AEM piping is no different then other pipings, just buy a filter not pre-oiled and same results; "increased air flow"
