20% all around.


EDIT: Got stopped by two cops today, told me to get rid of it.

I am going tomorrow to get maybe 50% on the two fronts and leave 20% on the back. Will that look dumb or what? I cannot find pictures ANYWHERE of scion 50%. I am thinking with the back being dark, the front will look darker and not look stupid but cops wont mess with me...what you guys all think?

if your gonna do 50 in the front you might as well not do it at all cuz you can barely tell. 50 looks like stock so u should get at least 35 front. leaving the back 20 will be fine.

 

isnt stock tint 70%?

 

I used to have 35% in my truck w/o an issue - I would do 35% front and 20% rear and back

 

I have 20% as do most drivers around AZ. Sucks that the east coast cops hassle so bad for it.

50% is going to look a little dumb, like no tint at all. I would have to go along with scionteecee and say do 35% and leave 20 the rest

 

Im in NJ, 35% in the front, 20% sides and 5% on the back. Looks good and i dont get bothered by the cops

You can see through it, but it's dark enough. I love it on cloudy days.

 

whatever % you decide on, make your side windows(front and back) the same % and the rear a bit darker. It just looks so much cleaner that way.

I did 45% on the sides and 35% in the back and i think its a good combo of looks and cop-attractability.

This particular angle makes it look a bit darker than it would if you looked directly at it.

 

when i went to get my tints done at a local tint shop their tint legality for jersey was 35% fronts.

 

^unless they changed the law, nj tint law says there can be no tint on the front window

 

they don't allow any front window tint in Jersey. I go 35% front and 20% back, for 3 years,
I had been pull over couple times, Only the state troopers gave me 1 tint ticket.

In my last car I got pulled over with 35 all around in CT the cops just look for a sticker. If you don;t have iton your windows then they can pull you over.

 

i have 35/20 in new york, i drive around nj and ct alot never been bothered by the cops

 

They care about the front windows cause back a while ago someone put a gun up to the window, rolled it down, shot the cop, then took off. as long as the cop can see whats up in the front seat thats all they care about

wow, that sucks. in PA there is no tint allowed and i rolled on 35% for 9 months, then on 5% for 2 months

 

i got a tint and no front plate ticket within the same week at lbi last week. THAT WAS FUN
