What gives, every search I do for stock tires on the scion shows they come with Potenzas but I got Yokohamas. I am not complaining, just wonder whats going on.

That's weird. They're supposed to have Potenzas... Are they the same profile?

215-45-17, just like the potenzas. I JUST got the car last week, I wonder if anyone else has them.

The tires I have are Yokohama S32A

I can't find anything out about these tires on yokohama's site!!?!?!!

wow a definite change.. maybe Scion's been reading this forum and realized they are causing spin outs (the bridgestone's).. what's the treadwear rating, temp and traction? it's printed on the sidewall..

can you take a picture of the tread and post that? like to see what the tread looks like..

tire specs are: 160 / A / A

Tread pattern isn't anything exciting, just a normal bi-directional pattern.

i dunno, but i dont think anyone that has the potenza tires has a chance of getting them swapped. scion might have changed tires due to the popularity of tC and might not been able to get enough potenza tires so they switched to something comparable.

now if they did it because the tC is unsafe (ie. tires blowing up and tC's rolling over, like the firestone/explorer problem) with the potenza tires then you might have a chance, but in my opinion tC owners expect too much from a oem tire. and that theres nothing wrong with them. if its bad weather you slow down, if your losing grip your going to fast.

i have a xB and my oem tires arent as good as my performance tires, but i realize that they arent suppose to be either and i change my driving style then

i like Yoko's they I.M.O are a better brand, but the tread pattern doesnt look any more aggressive than the potenza's,
I think most of us are used to a lot better tires than either one, so as far as being better grip, we'l have to see how they are in the rain I think ill check with my dealer this week and indeed see if i can change them just to get some new tires that work a little better when wet
