my lower vrd grille doesn't fit with the RS1 lip. Definitely needs to be trimmed but I'm too chicken to do it.

^dunno why mine's different. On the bottom, the lip is in the way and I cannot push the grille all the way in for the tabs to fit...if that makes sense?

It seems like the RS1 lip is basically made to fit that bottom part where the grill goes in, exactly to the edge rather than 1/4inch or so shy so the grill has some room to clip in.

Can't really explain it, but my VRD bottom grill won't fit perfect with my RS1 lip either and like ilovemytC i'm too afraid to trim it.

I've already trimmed CF and it is UGLY. The resin chips off leaving the CF exposed and jagged. It would need to be done with a dremel & tape over the lip where you want to trim but again i'm too wuss.

My bottom grill clips in all up top still and on the sides but not the very bottom, but I don't mind it's not noticable and the grill is still set in real well.
