Change of size
a friend told me to get something a little more high profile like 50 or 55 instead of 45 for more grip and less damage to the rims.
also im planning on getting 18s later and was wondering how much is it to get your meter adjusted?

my favorite car in the world, (a Lamborghini) comes with 30 and 35 series tires, and they have beautiful handling.. ive never heard that higher series tires gives u better grip..but it will protect your rim lol
You dont need higher profile tires. 40-45 is just perfect. I autox mine, so way more stress on the tires than you will see on the street, and never worry about the rims.
You dont adjust our speedo, and dont need to. The affect on the speedo for changing to 18s with the proper size tire is negligible.
And it sounds like you care more about handling, so if that is so, forget the 18's and stick with 17's.

i guess i'll keep mine at 45 then and try to get some tires with rim protectors.
and for the speedo i'll try to see how much it changes on those street radar.
i like how the 18s fill the gap. =)
