Default Lightweight pulleys w/ audio set up

I currently have an agency power crank pulley in my tC, and i just upgraded my amps (not yet installed) but I was told by a friend who was told by her audio guy that cars with Lightweight pullys cannot handle the demand of higher ended audio systems, and if i start to see lag, keep an eye on it!....Does anyone know if this info. is acurate..With the existing GM series Pioneer amps i have i havent noticed any issues, but the new amp i got they are the PRS Premier series, which have more powere..i was recomended to add the NST overdrive alternator pulley

and here are the amps i just purchased

Her audio guy is, at best, misinformed. The weight of the pulley has no effect on the alternator; it's the size of the pulley that affects it. If you were to get an underdriven pulley, yes, you will notice decreased performance from pretty much anything electrical in your car if your audio system is drawing a lot of power. Getting an overdriven pulley (which increases power to the alternator, rather than decreases it like an underdriven pulley does) should only be necessary if you notice your audio system going all wacky/your lights flickering/etc.

On a slightly related note, I'm no audio systems expert, but I didn't know audio systems could lag.
