Default Best dealer for 15k service in Philly area?

Hi all:

I recently bought a used 2005 XB. It's coming up on 40k miles, but there were no service records with the car when I got it, so I don't know if the previous owner had the 30k mile service done. I'd like to just take it in for the 45k mile service a little early. Are there any dealers in the area that have good service departments? My preference would be Carousel Toyota in Glen Mills, since I work near there, but I live in South Philly so I could also leave it at one of our other area dealers (Conicelli, Champion, the one in Ardmore) and get a loaner for the day. Has anyone had any good/bad service experiences at these dealerships?

I have heard Sloane is a NO b.s. type dealer, can't really help you out though...and that isn't close to S.Philly either. Someone will have input just stick tight.

Sloane is not that far from south philly just hope on I-95 North to the Cottman exit and then go down pass Roosevelt Blvd until you pass Northeast High School and the dealership is on your left hand side. It's a new facility they just built. After that you can then go to Autograph and talk to Vimean lol :D

That's Champion, dude. I heard the new place is pretty sweet, but I haven't had any experience with them at all.

Sloane's in Glenside...I bought my car there, and I get all my service done there for the record. I recommend them, and they have Saturday hours for oil changes and mileage services - just got my 20K service done a month or so ago. Not too far away, if you're familiar with the Kelly Drive/Lincoln Drive way out of the city. It's right off of Easton Road.

I didn't have the best experience with Conicelli...they installed my S/C, and although it was convenient to where I was working at the time (and I got a loaner), I had four main problems with them:

1) it took them a REALLY long time to install (two and a half days) because they didn't have the proper tools - luckily I got a loaner car

2) they didn't tighten my alternator, so when I was driving it that weekend, the battery light kept coming on, and they had it for an additional day to fix it

3) they told me that the part was only warrantied for one year, even though the warranty states that, if installed by a dealer, it's covered under the remainder of the drivetrain warranty (the reason I had the dealer install it in the first place!)...I argued with the shop guy for a half hour, finally needing to go and get the warranty card and sit there for an additional 20 minutes as he read through the entire TRD warranty looking for a way NOT to cover it...

4) most importantly, I'm not convinced they know what they're doing...they didn't install the tamper-proof cap on the pulley (more than likely, they broke or lost it, because it wasn't in my box of parts after I got my car back), so if I have an issue down the line, there's a chance that it may not be covered...also, when I took it in for an oil change at Sloane, they had installed the oil line incorrectly, and it was leaking - Sloane covered it under warranty free of charge

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend Conicelli...

Peruzzi TOTALLY! The most hardcore Scion dealership in the area!!!

But it might be a bit of a hike from South Philly...

That would be "Sloane Champion Scion".

"Sloane Scion" is across the street from me.

On Easton Road.

Same place you bought your car.

Don't wanna confuse if folks are lookin' stuff up online.

if i had to take my xb to ANY scion dealership, i would take it to Peruzzi. not exactly in philly or even anywhere near where i live, but i took my xb there to get my waterlogged motor replaced and they did an awesome job. between ed and the ed in the service dept i was constantly updated on the progress and i would recommend them, highly to anyone.

Excellent, thanks for the replies. I have a relative in Warminster so perhaps I can work out a visit to Peruzzi.
