Default for those of you who have had your entire dash off ...

i've been thinking of using up the last of my rammat and ensolite on the firewall and was wondering if there's enough room to get to much of it when the dash is off. i found a couple of topics of people who have had their dash off to install some huds and saw a picture of it off, but couldn't get a very good look of the firewall. I don't want to do all that work, only to be able to reach a couple of inches of the firewall... please no flaming on me trying to make my car quiet. it's the only one I have and the cheapest thing for me to do is to keep it and make it to my liking... lol. after doing all the "normal" areas, i'm about to do the pillars and what little roof there is, followed by the outisde of the finders. then all that's left is the firewall which should make one of the bigger differences...

The upper dash takes about 5 minutes to get off. All the vents and other crap take a while.

I just want to take off the dash to do a really clean R/S install. Lots of little goodies going in there.

if you disconnect the batery before doing it your bags are safe to unhook.....

dash is a pain to get out mainly because the pillers keep you from gettign it off......and they are a pain to get off unless you just give them a good clean yank....then the dash almost comes out in like 10 minutes once the waterfall and an few other pieces are off.......my 08 has bags in the pillers so i was very carefull not to pull too hard and it took me forever as I was afraid to damage them....the clips are the only part you should need to replace as they broke on both of mine......

Actually you have to wait 30 minutes after you disconnect the battery. The bags could still activate.
