View Full Version : custom turbo setup?? smurf3642 12-14-2004, 03:34 AM About how much does everything run, just a turbo and piping... Prices minus the turbo...I wanna know an estimate on everything else... hotbox05 12-14-2004, 03:58 AM probably like 1000. but dont forget an intercooler too. i'd say if u junk yarded all the parts you could get a complete setup minus the fuel management for approx 800-1500. for new parts figure like 2000 smurf3642 12-14-2004, 04:58 AM I would rather go with all new parts and do it right the first time... 8) hotbox05 12-14-2004, 05:16 AM well a new or rebuilt t3 turbo will run you anywhere from 450-800 or so , a decent intercooler will be around 900-1000 , and then piping wouldnt be too much if u can do it yerself. the fuel management would be the hardest part. u could run a t4 too look up a turbo rebuilding place or a cheap place online. the hardest part will be finding a turbo manifold. if u can make it but that goes for alot of stuff. djct_watt 12-14-2004, 06:09 AM I got a hairdryer and some duct tape. . . and most importantly a swiss army knife. . . hotbox05 12-14-2004, 06:40 AM NICE can u help me dj? not lol i cant wait til i get a pe s/c for my box. now thats NICE lol djct_watt 12-14-2004, 07:25 AM seriously! You never watched Macgyver? I can build a thermo-nuclear warhead with a couple toothpicks, a stick of gum, some bleach, and a used condom. hotbox05 12-14-2004, 09:26 AM ewww a used condom tho? thats just nasty dj back on topic. smurf3642 12-14-2004, 11:53 AM I'm having the same idea slowpoke414 has...the Hybrid turbo is said to spool a lot faster while giving substantial boost... I know a guy who can bend pipes...(he did my exhaust on previous vehicle)...you think an exhaust pipe bender could make a header?? -that's a serious question too...
