Default (CAI) Check engine light

OK so i just got my fujita CAI. Almost done installing it when i realized theyre was a part missing....so i gotta wait for fujita to ship it out. But i put my stock intake back on and everything runs fine, but the CEL is on....should i take it to the dealer? and if so should i tell them that i was installing a new intake.....cause that would pretty much void the warranty! help!!!!!

Have you reset the ECU yet? If you switched back to the OEM intake, you should do a reset and see what happens. Disconnect the battery for about 5 min... then let the car idle for about 15 min.

A salvage title is different story for the most part (actually, I dont think you technically have a warranty if they want to go that route on a salvage title). But NO mod voids a warranty. It is against the law to blanket void a warranty. Most people just dont know any better and believe the dealer when they say that. If your mod causes the issue, they dont have to cover that particular instance under warranty, but the warranty is still in tact.
