Has any one heard of a 5 lug conversion for the xb?

someone was talking about it a couple months ago. I think it would be alot of work, and quite expensive. And the choice of wheels may be limited.

Well I had these wheels I have been wanting that I like alot and I just checked and noticed that they only come in 5 lug. Sence I had my heart set on thoughs wheels I figured I would check for a conversion before going on another hard search for wheels I like alot.

I was originally going to do that, but it's a pretty expensive mod just to get some different wheels. If you talk to scionvan, he can pretty much get ALMOST any wheel design you can think of. So try him first.

the guy with the silver xB from extreme scion has a five lug adapter. As far as going with a full five lug conversion, I have not seen that. On our company xA, we changed the rear studs to Tundra's so we could get the big lip in the rear and not hit the trailing arm

I have a similar problem. The rims from my last car are 5x100, not 4x100.. looks like the conversion is too expensive and i'll hafta sell my beautiful Enkeis

Thats probably what I will end up doing because I cant find no wheels I like as much as the 5 lug ones I seen.

if you get adapters, make sure they are the billet ones. Cast adapters are dangerous. Also, adapters will push your wheels out atleast 1.25". So make sure your wheels have the correct backspacing.

When i was at SEMA this year i notice that a couple companies were going to be making the adapters that you are looking for. Cost wise, this is obviously the best way to go.

The nice thing is that on most wheels, the adapters will actualy end up pushing the wheel all the way to the fender. As mentioned above, you just have to make sure of the offset you start with. I dont think you ll be able to start with anything lower than a +40mm offset.

BTW, the company you want to look at is TC Sportline. I ll dig around for their info if you cant find it :)

Well I found a website for TC Sportline but no info on an adapter. The wheels I want are 19x8.5 with a 45 offset. I prefer for my wheels to tuck under the fenders instead of stick out.

i would go without the adapter and get something in a 4 lug.

I would but I have looked and looked and most of the rims I like are in 5 lug. I think that I will just get the adapters unless I can get a conversion.

As long as it is a machined Billet Adapter you will be fine. The high offset 45mm Rim you want is perfect for a spacer/adapter that thick. the fronts may stick out a hair too much for most peoples taste, but if it is with something that has lip it may look just right.

Go for it. a little expensive but opens your options alot more.

Make sure it is a reputable company, and the lugs that attach to your hub are the right everything, as well as the studs coming of the adapter.

Good luck!

HOLY COW!!! Does anyone have any more info on these adapters, when, where, how much?!

If they come out.. i might not hafta sell my Enkeis!!!!! and thats cool how it'll push the wheel out more.. to fill up the gap on my xA. My enkeis are 40mm offset, so from what you guys've been saying, its perfect!

I really hope this all works out. and i'm pretty sure if it works on teh xB it'll work on the xA right? cuz thats one of the things the 2 share...

I'll be converting our 4x100 to 5x100 or 5x114.3

also, are there any safety issues?

Thx Guys!!
