View Full Version : Staggered wheel fitment (with pics)
Opr8r 01-16-2004, 04:17 PM For those of you that might have missed Van's Miata wheel fitment thread, here are the same Work Euroline N wheels on an xB. (Front = 17x8.5 + 16mm Offset) and (Rear = 17x9 +17mm Offset). Tires in front and rear are: 215/40/17
Some slight camber and fender massaging might be needed to better accomodate this fitment, but overall... very cool! And one last tidbit... these wheels came from a bB!
Oh yeah... and isn't that a RAD lip? 8)

TheRedBox 01-16-2004, 04:24 PM BAD ___!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey can you post a side pic and a 3/4 from the front? Thanks!
randode 01-16-2004, 04:27 PM now dont give me any lip!
j/k that looks rad. That has to be the widest stance i've seen on an xB.
Opr8r 01-16-2004, 04:28 PM I'll try. My camera is kinda acting funny this morning.
Peace,
m@
flipnotize29 01-16-2004, 04:29 PM thats one bad ___ xb... jdm all the way!!! i might have to call that bB. phat lips...
how much wheel cost you? much props very nice...
Mr_scion 01-16-2004, 04:36 PM i want to get 19 will the same off set and everthing be the same on 19?
Munch 01-16-2004, 04:42 PM The rear looks perect but the front looks like it's sitting out too far. Looks good anyway, but I think if the fronts were flush like the rear it would be better
TheRedBox 01-16-2004, 04:49 PM i want to get 19 will the same off set and everthing be the same on 19?
Have fun modding your fenders.
Opr8r 01-16-2004, 04:53 PM i want to get 19 will the same off set and everthing be the same on 19?
Ummm no. You would have to do some serious work to achieve that.
Peace,
m@
bBted 01-16-2004, 04:59 PM  i cant sleep ever since u put the wheels on last night
projxB 01-16-2004, 05:38 PM That has to be the widest stance i've seen on an xB.
I could of swore that i've seen wider, like a 2mm lower offset. I think they were ET15 offset on 9" wide rims. but i may be wrong. None the less, that looks bad ___.
Get off my koolaid _____! :D
Besk_one 01-16-2004, 06:01 PM the wheels are REALLY nice, but i don't like the offsets too much
i'm a big believer that wheels belong *under* the car, not sticking out the sides
flushed is cool, but imo i think they need to be able to tuck inside just a little bit to look right to me.
maybe if they were those same offsets but 7" in the front and 8" in the back?
but that's just me

i agree but thats bad@$$ and if u ever lock yourself outside of your car while its raining you can take cover in your rims
projxB 01-16-2004, 06:14 PM ahahah

Actually these are "flush"... flush is not about the tire... it's the wheel. It could also be said that "flush" could be interpreted in different ways... but just admit it... it looks so much sexxxier if the wheels aren't sunken in *under* the car!!! Too bad Axis doesn't make sizes/offsets like these  On another note... you'll notice that the tire is infact under the car... under suspenion load/unload the actual tread of the tire is completely under the chassis... stretch tire!!! Remember this isn't a muscle car that needs meat to the ground... don't get caught with too much rubber... it takes away from the wheel and makes the chassis look like it's sitting on KK's
i want to get 19 will the same off set and everthing be the same on 19?
As mentioned by Matt this would take a bit of work to get this to work... and while anything is possible. You should *think* about how this would look. Anything more than an 18" wheel IMO is just overkill. you must consider that this is a K car... not a regular sized car... it would ride higher (if not it would look uber ____ super tucked to achieve a low stance) and the already low power would be even more diminshed by the wheel mass... and brakes... you get the idea... all this unless of course your car is a strictly show trailored ride... then everything I just said pretty much goes out the window!!!
All Matt needs to do now is get a little camber goin' up front!!!
I don't know anything about these damn boxes!!!
scionara 01-16-2004, 06:37 PM I'm feelin' it. The only thing I would change is put 225x40x17s in the back.
TheRedBox 01-16-2004, 06:40 PM BTW, I saw that black S14, the one day ed was driving it around, i guess that was before he sold his s14. NICE CAR.. Loves the wheels.
projxB 01-16-2004, 06:48 PM preach on CleanS14.
showpaojoe 01-16-2004, 07:23 PM M@, could you possibly take a side shot showing the whole car sideways, not jut the wheels. Thanx
That looks badass. I'm feelin the 17x9 in the rear but I have been unable to really find good looking wheels in that size. Just a few 5zigen wheels so far but thats pretty much it. Kinda rare for some reason. Anyways, are those just for show or for daily driving and are they yours or just for pics?
Djuan 01-16-2004, 07:40 PM thats tight, sometimes I wish I woulda got my xB in white instead of black
brarsandeep 01-16-2004, 07:43 PM That's PIMP!

scionaraxb 01-16-2004, 08:09 PM ok.......first let me say that your car looks great.
But,.........doesn't anyone else think its kinda weird to put deeper rims on the rear of a front wheel drive car?

The wheel specs on that Fabulous bB are:
Front = 18x8.5 +18mm Offset
Rear = 18x9.5 +18mm Offset
You would need to roll the fenders in the rear for sure. Remember, there's camber there as well.
Peace,
m@
TheRedBox 01-16-2004, 09:58 PM And not to mention those wheels are $$$$$$$$$
bBted 01-16-2004, 10:19 PM true...but if u have to spend money u better do it right!
Mr_scion 01-16-2004, 10:21 PM well who make a camber kit and how much??? i think this is the rim i want n-e one know of some black 5 stars with chrome buttens on them????

But,.........doesn't anyone else think its kinda weird to put deeper rims on the rear of a front wheel drive car?
Well this wouldn't be the case if Matt had coilovers which I think is a plan??? There is a need for a little camber up front... but after that it's all SEX!!! You will then notice a HARD low stance.

Coilovers? Heck yeah. 8) Even though I have more than a two inch drop, my ride still looks like it's at stock height next to Chad's!
Peace,
m@
westsype 01-18-2004, 05:51 AM Luv the rims. But offset is too crazy to me. I don't like the low rider look needs to be even with fender. IMO
Lovin the originality m@, now we need to so the crazy azz camber like the ones in japan!! :D I still say we cutt and weld a set-up for ya!
Mr_scion 01-21-2004, 10:53 PM is this one on coilovers or springs???
