Default I thought about saying GOODYE!....but I just don't know!

Hello,

I was thinking about getting rid of my tC for GTI.....I just got back from driving it...It kool, but not all that and a bag chips....I'm thinking I need more power like WRX or Lancer Ralliart. IF anything I might wait to get a 2009 because GTI is getting new styling and a new motor....So what does everyone else think.....if I do sell I will part out the car, but will be keeping my system component....

I'm in the same situation except with the GLI. Almost pulled the trigger and bought it but I changed my mind for now.

The Lancer Ralliart is like the Porsche Cayman; you only get one if you can't afford an Evo (or Carrera). The WRX could be cool if it didn't look like it was the love child between an Aztek and a B9. And I personally hated working on my Jetta; ____ing German engineering made everything so needlessly complicated, and you have to take out a small loan just to afford an OEM headlight.

Try another list of cars.

I've never heard of anyone with a VW having a positive experience with it, and I know many people that have or had them. Please don't get rid of your car.

VW's havent been reliable since they built the original bug They are getting better than they have been, but I still am not all ready to trust them. Fun cars though. I drove a guys modded GTI at an autox test n tune, and it was fun to drive.

If you look at a WRX, get a 2009 (the 5door isn't bad compared to the 4door for styling).

I have a friend with a 2006 (or 2007?) Rabbit. It's been in the shop a lot. Even had his transmission and clutch replaced. I'd consider a Rabbit myself if it weren't for his issues. It's very nice when it's not in the shop.

Wait for the 2009's to come out they will have a little bit more power and should have a few new things. test drive the new one and decide after that. they are a fun car to drive and engine is so easy to tune. LOTS OF POWER 300+whp with a stage III. Just an APR reflash is going to give you 260 hp and 300 torgue! (crank power)

i got a rental audi a3 2.0 t with an s-tronic gear box, which is pretty much a gti underneath, it is a pretty sweet car. but it lacked the personality of my tc though.

but yeah, engines that are factory turbocharged make more power easier than non turboed engines.

Sick car Paulky. Prob the coolest VW Ive ever seen. Is that a beatle motor in there? Either way it doesnt make me want a VW. Havent heard great things about them, and theyre way over priced and expensive to fix. My dads girlfriend has a GLI and I didnt find anything too special about it. My car would destroy it. Not mention it was like $33k back in 05..... with alot of options. I think VW and Audi is way over rated, unless your talking about the R8 or the Bugatti. You guys disappoint me with all of this talk.

man, you have one nice clean tc indeed! so why change? be smart get that car paid off and enjoy your investment. i know its tempting to get some other cool cars out there, coz of the power, complexity, etc. but "cool" good cars are not gonna stop coming out. so save that dough! :D unless of course money is not an issue for you

just a friendly advice, coz sometimes i feel the same thing...hehe...peace
