Default painted my markers on my 08 headlights

so after seeing afew post on pulling the headlights apart, and spending all day pulling my girlfriends and my roomates lights apart to paint them, i decided i wanted to get rid of the amber corners. i really wish someone would offer the clear replacments, but since no one does, i just figured i would paint them for the time being. i didnt want to go with black since the housings are a hint of gray color, so i went with a gunmetal gray. and no, light doesnt shine through, i have led city lights and i really didnt care for the sidemarkers to light up in the first place. i really like the look of them being a shade different, here are a few quick pics of them installed, im not going to bore you with the pics of them all apart and whatnot since there are enough DYI on here. let me know what you think!

Looks really clean. Like the color. Is your hood cf or bsp?

Still get any reflection out of them? That's usually where legal problems come in if you get stopped.

no not at all, but i have never heard of cops ever stopping someone for front lights not being reflective, when you buy a set of "euro" front clears for trucks and other inports that replace the stock side markers, they have no reflection in them, and you can notice they are aftermarket, so when cops crack down on it, hopefully they go after those guys first

bsp, i had cf but didnt care for it, however loved the panda look, so i traded it off, me and tcridinclean were just talking about it back in the sw thread....haha, the hatch rattles to much, and the hood fades to fast, to much upkeep

Yeah you absolutely right about the upkeeping. my Seibon hood is less than a year old and i can see the difference from when i first got it. Think i'll go with the bsp soon too. Your car looks clean.

to reseal i just used the 3m black weatherstrip adhesive you can get from advance or autozone. to be honest, when your ready to put back together, just re-heat the base and it will cause the old sealent to soften, then apply alittle of the 3m and press together.

as far as the eyelids go, i did those myself, got a buddy with a vinyl shop, and i just got some white vinyl and cut them out myself

youll be surprise how easy it all was, after i practiced with two hondas.....haha

I like the look, it's really sharp. Just do me a favor and go feed your damn dog. The poor thing is skin and bone.
