dynomat or Hushmat Install
I have a little over 55 Square feet of hush mat and wondering if that is enough to do the box. In process of building monster system. I at least want to do the doors heavy and the hatch. The roof would be nice but i want to make that box not able to make sound outside car.

I used 2 shop packs of second skin. It came in 5 different boxes. I used 1 box to do 2 layers on the whole roof and then 3 layers down the seam in the middle. I only did 1 layer on they larger walls, trunk, spare tire, and back hatch. There will be rattles no matter how much sound deadening the wing if you have one the trim piece acrost the back. The back hatch will flex. Oh dont forget to seam seal the cross braces on the roof again. The stock seam sealer is weak so you need to use more than just spot here and there on the slats. Once I did the roof on mine along with the seam sealing I notice the car felt more rigid and sturdy. Tells about the system you want to put in. I have got a few friends already hitting right at 150db in there gen 2 xB.

How much weight does this add? I am trying to avoid causing a decrease in fuel efficiency due to weight.
I was considering using a liquid type dampener such as spectrum sludge from second skin. It is supposed to be half the weight and get into places that are hard to get to with mats. Any experience with this?
