I am going to be buying a widebody kit and carbon hood and trunk for my TC. I was wondering if anyone would be interested on doing a group buy with me to try and save some money?

 

Your title is a bit deceiving. Sounds like you're selling kits and parts. I was all excited because I thought
(by reading your title subjectively) that somebody had gotten the CF side mirror covers correct FINALLY!

Sorry maybe I didnt explain correctly. My buddy that owns a shop is doing a buy in with major company. The more he buys the more he will save. In turn he will pass on the savings. Just thought maybe some of you could save a little, he will be selling parts just to cover costs. What mirrors are you looking for there are several out there. The company that he is dealing with said they would make whatever if there is enough people interested.

CF mirror covers EXACTLY like the OEM ones that fit right. (Basically, 'replacement' covers.)
So far, the ones being manufactured fit like dung.

 

Extreme Dimensions is the company he is doing the buy in with. The carbon cover mirrors they dont make at this time but if there are enough people here interested they will make them. All of there parts are high quality and have warranty for satisfaction.

but im gonna pass since your a new member here and you only have 4 posts. So therefore i do not know you or your buddys shop.

 

Your loss. I was just trying to help people save some money. Its not like you are lossing anything saying "yes I am interested in this part".

Yea I see you have nothing better to do than pick someones thread apart. So I guess count you out? If people would like they could pick up parts and then pay if there are others like this one. By the way if your not interested dont post!!

 

Also if it's your "buddy" why won't be sell it to you at their cost?...

And getting a discount from someone like ED usually means putting in a fairly large order... a few items hear and there arent gonna give him a huge discount...

weve been scammed before. no one on here trusts new members, especially ones that make an account, then try to sell something right away without even getting to know anyone.

and you have yet to mention the name of the "shop"
im really starting to doubt that it even exists.

im just telling you, if you want to do a group buy. this is not the way to go about it.

 

He's not trying to pick apart your thread... he's stating a very valid point. You're brand new here, trying to organize a group buy for high ticket items. You're not an established member of the community yet. You may just be trying to help people save some $$, but some people are a bit hesitant with new people and expensive parts.

The best option for you would be to see if there is interest here, show that to your "buddy" and then have your "buddy" sign up here and become a sponsor through the site to organize the group buy.

Steve also has a very valid point. If he is actually your buddy, he should be able to cut you a decent deal without doing a group buy. I realize the more he orders from the other company, the cheaper the 'at cost' price would be... but still.

 

This doesnt even make sense! Like I said if your not interested dont reply! Very simple. Just because people have gotten screwed over doesnt mean I am the one that has or will do it. My buddy is not even asking for your money to order. I said previously if you want to pick it up you can pay for it then.

Seems like that is what trying to do. See if people were interested in the parts, have him order what people were interested in and they could work out the rest. As far as me getting parts at cost, I never said what I would or wouldnt be. Whether anyone else gets anything I will be getting my parts cheap. Seems like threads are always getting way off topic. ALL THIS TOPIC WAS SUPPOSED TO DO IS SEE IF PEOPLE WANTED A GOOD DEAL ON SOME PARTS AND WHAT THEY WANTED
