Default News on Supercharger and CAI......

Just spoke with Zion on the Scion question chat and here is the conversation:

Michael: just looking for any information you have on release of the cold air intake
Zion: No information on its release at this time.
Zion: It's still going through federal emission approval
Michael: and the supercharger
Zion: The supercharger's release has also been pushed back to by middle next year.

So the rumor that it will not be released is only a rumor. But just in case, I have my parts manager looking into it. Maybe he can give good word as well.

Default SuperCharger Release

From TRD: The new estimated release date is mid April. That's not a guarantee, just an estimate.

For the blower or the CAI? Or heaven forbid, both?

Not the CAI, I was just replying to the SuperCharger question. The only CAI's that I have been following are from Injen and AEM and both are still working on CARB approval.

ahhh the good old days of yeah it'll be here Aug/Sept....well Oct/Nov...well early next year..well...mid April or middle of next year..there goes a year of warranty down the tubes....i think it's kind of funny at this point but i'm sure there are others getting really annoyed with the constant retracting of release dates...thanks for the updates.

Default Release date

Yeh, you're right, it is annoying, but these guys are super cautious and don't want to cause any problems with the unit. We're probably all better off that they're trying to make it right the first time.

i totally agree. first we had to hear the "oh it will be here next week" and then the "it will be here next month" and stuff while waiting for our tc. now the same thing is happening for the accessories.

How do you think I feel? I am not only a salesman but a client.

*cheesy grin with pic of tC popping up next to him*

I have to hear the same questions I keep asking for my own rig. But yes, we are better off since it will be done right and there shouldn't be any issues with it. Would rather have a year less warranty and never need it than using it for an extra year and getting stuck with a busted up car.

Damn...no CAI until next year? I was hoping to buy it for myself this Christmas. Oh well its worth the wait. For now I'll probably look into opening up the airbox so I can hear the engine. Yea it might get the filter dirty and affect fuel mileage and crap but soon as I break my car in, I'm opening it up. Then around the time AEM brings out their CAI the stock filter would probably need some cleaning. Oh well.

Oh yea, any info on the price of the supercharger and would it be a complete bolt on?

Hi, this is my first post. I was wondering if anyone knows if the K & N CAI fits into the TC?
