another racing story
well i have a 5 speed tC and one of my co-workers has a 6 cylinder Hyundai tiburon and its one of those semi-automatic ones, the ones were u can put it in 1,2,3 etc and no clutch. we had just got out of work and i was with my friend in my car and we were talking ____ right next to each other messing around. at a stop light, we decided to go on green, so we were revving up and all that stuff u know how it goes. so it turns green and we go. i guess i got a good start cuz he was behind and then i shift to second and hes behind even more, and then 3rd and its around the same distance, he is still behind though. then i slow down cuz i know i got him and beacause there was a stop light. so i wonder how his car would have performed if it was a 6 speed. but i was still surprised to the fact that its a 6 cylinder and the tC a 4 cylinder but then again there is not much in horsepower difference. but anyways if u do post dont leave no stupid comments cuz theyre annoying as hell and its always the same comments. but there is my story.....
I think its good info...
So he had the V6 4 Speed Auto?
By looking at specs the V6 are about the same weight as th tC only 40-45lbs heavier (auto) but I'd figure with more HP & TQ that would give it an advantage.

The Tibbys have more power and torque making 172hp and 181ftlbs.
That isnt that much compaired to what our 4cyl's make. If the Tibby was 6speed Im sure it would have been a closer race. Automatics steal a lot of performance.
Its a 4speed automatic, with triptronic. 5speed and 6speed manuals also are also avalible for the V6's.

But I think the 2.7 power plant is used in the Santa Fe and only the newer version 3.5 have 5 Speed tranmission.
if it would have been the 6 speed it would have made it a much much closer race. but it was semi-automatic.
what is a difference between automatic and semi-automatic? i believe semi-automatic u can pick the gears with the + or the -. like 1 to what ever gears it has.
