I've had a carPC for a few months now and think that I have enough of the kinks worked out that I can begin to work on this aesthetic beauty of the machine and it's install. I want to see where everyone else has mounted their computers in their tC's.

Right now mine is just in the cubby in the right of the trunk and the wires are everywhere - albeit hidden. So let's have it. Can I see some images of your clean installs to get some ideas?

 

are you talking about the styrofoam cubby? that's the best place IMO, you should run the wires under the rear strut bracing and down into the rear right quarterpanel > door sill > kick panel > glove box > behind dash

make sure you have a ventalation hole drilled into the styrofoam and out to the vent hole in the hatch floor

Yeah thats exactly how im wired now, but theres like 10 wires coming out of the machine. I dont know, its just messy looking. Even with tubing to hold several of the wires together. Where is this vent hole now? it goes through the body of the car?

 

yea its a little rubber stopper that comes out of the body and vents to the outside of the car
