I've read that the 07 fujita CAI's cause CELS in some tC's, yet some say its fine.
Has the problem been addressed by Fujita or are some people still getting CELS out there?

I like Injen but Fujita's cai are about $50 less...but if anyone is selling a used 07 injen CAI lmk

 

I bought the Fujita for the same reason. I have an 08, and the cel came on instantly. It goes away every once and a while for a few days or so, but low and behold, it comes back on in no time. My car still runs fine, gets better mpg than stock, breathes easier, and sounds better, it just has an annoying check engine light on constantly. Maybe one of these days the cel will burn out and i won't have to worry about it.

 

mine was fine.

never turned on once. if an intake is installed correctly itll never turn on

 

hmm i c, i'm thinkin about giving fujita a try, I just hope all the ppl with CELS didn't install it right then.

But I read it's because the piping on fujita is bigger than stock size at the MAF, whereas injen goes back to 2 1/4 (or w/e the size is) at the MAF

 

its 2.5. and yes fujita is all 2.75

 

hmmm alright, we'll agan seeing as how some are fine, some get CELS....I guess I just need to know if its really the piping thats causing it.

 

i just install mys i love it it gave me cel light but i forgot to change a rubber hose it came with after that nothing

 

I just installed mine last night...and i was a little worried about the fitting. The vibration mount on my 07 is so low that it kind of bent both tubes down (because I also have Dr. Iso's mount in there too.) and while my CEL didn't go on right away, it came on within less than 24 hours despite me re tightening every thing.

 

i had mine on for a while and no problem just disconnect the battery and wait secs and put it back on and you should be good to go.

 

i have an 07 with fujita and i only throw a CEL when its raining. it will stay on for about a day or two then goes off until it rains again

 

i have an 07. installed the intake with 32 miles on the ODO. 20K miles later and still no check engine light.

 

looks like i have a similar problem but on injen

 

installed mine last night on my 07 and all night it was fine on my way 2 work today driving with it for about 20 miles and long behold my CEL came on

 

if you want an injen, but cant afford it, but a Tenzo R intake off ebay, 135 shipped

its a replica of the injen, exact replica, minus one off the brackets

i bought the tenzo intake, Doc isos injen CAI panel, and oiled the tenzo filter, and 3 days and 65 miles later no CEL

 

Never had any issues with my Fujita on my RS4 the whole 10k miles I had it on
