View Full Version : Are There Aftermarket Front Axles For TC's? Rizzie 08-25-2008, 11:57 PM Just wondering because im turboed and my right one is done already NurSpec 08-26-2008, 01:19 AM you can have them custom made or just order them again from the dealer Rizzie 08-26-2008, 03:19 AM alrighty yellowxhoodie 08-26-2008, 03:22 AM i would send you the link but im not at work so i dont have it. ill just tell you to search. there was a thread on this a couple days ago and someone posted the link. its like driveshaftshop or something. just search. youll find it. RSracer 08-26-2008, 09:12 PM click it~~> DRIVE SHAFT SHOP (http://www.driveshaftshop.com/pdetail.php?pid=58) yellowxhoodie 08-26-2008, 09:27 PM yea im at work now, was just about to post it but u beat me to it. http://www.driveshaftshop.com/driveshaf-menu.php Rizzie 08-26-2008, 09:48 PM appreciate it both of you, ill go check it out thanks paul_dezod 08-28-2008, 06:02 PM click it~~> DRIVE SHAFT SHOP (http://www.driveshaftshop.com/pdetail.php?pid=58)  ack154 08-28-2008, 06:07 PM Damn! $1200? If you're putting down the power though... I guess you don't have much choice. yellowxhoodie 08-28-2008, 06:21 PM i plan on bringing my car to the track with a trailer and running it until the stock axels break. :D haha, then its time for an upgrade Rizzie 08-28-2008, 06:34 PM lol i hear you on that. im waiting on those axels though because i dont think im gonna be having this car much longer. im getting the axles replaced next weekend and then puttin it up for sale because thats all i wanted to fix before i sold it. gettin excited cause its either gonna be a 240sx with an rb20dett or a supra. dont know what to get but i love the hell outta both of them yellowxhoodie 08-28-2008, 06:37 PM well why drop all that money for aftermarket axels if your just gonna sell the car? Ace83 08-28-2008, 07:56 PM the dealer told me each axle is 500 each, the one in drive shaft shop is the price for the rebuild.. you still need to send them the stocks.. So thats stock+1200, pretty expensive.. the stock can handle plenty of abuse, you can buy in junkyards too and save tons of money.. I got a used one for 75 shipped yellowxhoodie 08-28-2008, 07:59 PM damn! $75 shipped! i need to find a set so i can still drive my car while im having mine rebuilt. paul_dezod 08-28-2008, 08:02 PM the stock can handle plenty of abuse, Really? Why did this happen back in 05 when we where testing our tC kit? http://media.putfile.com/1stTurboDragRun Mind you. This was on 8 PSI, our S1 with an ACT street disc. The car dynod' at 255 ft/lbs of TQ peak at around 4K RPMS yellowxhoodie 08-28-2008, 08:05 PM ouch! Ace83 08-28-2008, 08:35 PM the stock can handle plenty of abuse, Really? Why did this happen back in 05 when we where testing our tC kit? http://media.putfile.com/1stTurboDragRun Mind you. This was on 8 PSI, our S1 with an ACT street disc. The car dynod' at 255 ft/lbs of TQ peak at around 4K RPMS ouch that was scary, im not saying it doesnt break.. i just based my opinion on how many boosted tc out there running stock axles, and only few i've heard broke their axles.. If im not mistaken, rado was running on stock until his axles broke with his 700hp tc. Not sure how much abuse has that test tc taken with R&D but repeated stress could be a factor.. but this is just as how i see things, i dont wanna go there and do some abuse just to prove my point right and say, dang paul was right :P |
