If you want power, don't buy an xB (108hp Stock) You would have to do a lot of work to get 150-200hp. I think with a Turbo and NOS you would be lucky to hit 200hp.

No, they are great little cars, i drive mine 80-90 most of the time and it doesn't take long to get to that speed BUT they won't put up any kind of jaw-dropping numbers. If you're trying to compete in the numbers game, the xB won't do it without a lot of $$$ poured in, which it sounds like you're trying to get away from. If you want a solid ride then it's the right car.

LOL...that's great

I have no compaints with my xB's speed....it's not going to blow the doors off anything, and it will be nowhere near your eclipse. In order to put enough boost through an xB motor to get 150-200hp you'll have to spend a ton of $$$ tweaking up your internals, otherwise you'll blow your motor.

If you want speed, you'll have to look at a tC. If you want a car that's going to get 30+mpg and look cool doing it, then go with an xB.

yeah man, the xb is no pocket rocket - it pretty weak and it feels awkard trying
to go really fast in it........ I bought mine for the winter, deliveries and to advertise
my business - in the spring/summer I have the s2000 - that gives me
enough speed to mess with most cars on the road!

With an aftermarket turbo or supercharger (around $3000), you'll be maxed out @ 150HP. Sorry Bro.

I believe that there is a "Power Hungry" section to this site, if you care to research it.

The xB is a great ride for the $$$ & I recommend it to anyone who will listen, but a fire breathin' speed demon, it is not.

Great around town car, but the only a$$ you'll be haulin' is your own.
