It finally happened. Last night while I was on duty someone smashed out the front driver's side window of my xB. What I would have done to catch them in the act. It would have been some serious, well you know. :lalala:

Speedyglass is fixing it for $218. Not bad. All they stole was my XM radio receiver and my uh radar detector.

Sorry to here about your break-in, I recently had the same happen to me. Makes you want to leave your car in the garage.

If you wouldn't leave $100 on the dash, why would some of you leave expensive gadgets exposed to a thief who wants to make a quick buck! I just don't understand some people's thinking... :tap:
Maybe some of you live in this perfect area where this sort of thing just doesn't happen?

In my particular case, the only thing exposed was the Ipod cable. In another car here at work, a car was broken into that had nothing in it at all, they basically busted the glass, rumaged through the glove box and the console, got NOTHING!
And this is in snooty Issaquah.

Sounds like you got some teenagers roaming the streets bored with their summer and need a bit of Fall locked up with their arms and legs in a cast......damn thieves.

Well what you need to understand is that I'm a Federal Police officer and was out on Patrol at the time my car was broke into. In a way I'm kind of glad I didn't catch them.

Hmmmmmm... DHS/FPS? Does that possibly also mean that the car was on fed property when it was broken into? Too bad, really, that you didn't catch 'em... I'm sure you could have restrained yourself.

True i did get lucky once when some idiots broke into my tacoma. My neighbor gets home and says dude your window is broke. I look and lots of stuff is gone but they didnt get it all. So im going back out to the truck after getting some stuff to tape up the window and a gangsta oldsmobile comes strolling by its dark so I had behind my tacoma lol "super agent style" I had a feeling about this car going so slow in our quite neighborhood... they dont see me they go slow past my truck. So i get the idea to watch from the window inside the house and when they drive by slowly again without stopping i call the cops and they pull them over per my description and what do you know they had all my stuff and i was able to give details about the radar detector cd's and cd changer and i caught the idiots myself. Thieves are dumb.

Whats even crazier is when they gave me back my cd's there was one that wasnt mine but get this it was a cd my wife had burned for her dad and his truck had been stollen and the cd player and stuff and because we recieved this burnt cd and identified it as one that was in his truck when they stole it we actually ended up getting them busted for stealing his truck 2. They were responsible for like 15 break ins on rigs that month alone... YAY 4 stupid thieves!!! im guessing the seattle area thieves arent as dumb but i could b wrong there?!?
