Jensen VM9312 and Vm9412
Pioneer ADV-----something the less expensive flip joint.

What are your thoughts on my list. obviously if you guys are aware of places were i can get these items for even better prices thats dope. but what is the thought on the overall layout?

Idk if this is something i could do myself. so i may have to figure in labor cost. i've never done speakers only lighting.

____)_)_)_)_)_)_)_)_ZOOM

***New layout list on a new post.******

I have decided to wipe out on the sub, amp, and car speakers im focusing on the core first.

I found that i have two Polk Audio GNX124 12" subs in a ____tttttyyyyyyy wood falling ___ apart box.

So my new plan is this
get a decent Head unit. i really like the flip out units. then see if i need new speakers

i an always find jensen in the under 400 range. sometimes a pinoneer and a kenwood as well. i know jensen is at the bottom not bad just not the greatest.

Next question is what type of amp and supplies would i need to power those two subs? btw i think one of the subs is busted. or it just rattles alot. im sure it can be fixed. i assume i can find a box locally or online for a decent price. i assumed crutchfield was crazy so i do plan to search elsewhere. thanks again for your help.

quick word of advice. get a great headunit. this is probably the most important part of a sound system. the best speakers on earth will sound like crap if the headunit sucks. headunit should be the first thing you buy. install the headunit and you might even be happy with the factory speakers. if not, then worry about swapping them out. if you want to save some money, leave the rear stock. it's not worth installing a speaker in the door, especially if you have subs. you won't hear anything besides bass anyways. unless you add components and mount the tweeter up high, forget it.

for the bass, look on ebay. you can get quality subs and amps for an awesome price on ebay. and stay away from pre fab boxes. i have yet to buy a pre fab box that sounds anywhere near as good as something i had made or made myself. the difference the box makes in massive. most sub manufacturers will give you enclosure recommendations. follow them and your subs will sound as good as they possible can.

i do a lot of my shopping on sonic electronix. they are on online retailer with great prices, products, and service. you should really check them out.

installing most of this stuff is crazy easy. take your time, have a plan, and have everything you need on hand and you can do a basic system in a few hours. less if you have a friend that knows what they are doing to help you out.

if you want same stuff at lower price....check
sonicelectronix.com
hookedontronics.com
ect..... every place is a ton cheaper than them

definately agree that you should always start with a great headunit cuz you could have the best stuff and a low end head unit and it wont sound as good as it should.

I was thinking of getting the Avic-f90BT. With all the great mods to the unit and the price, I figure why not?

www.avic411.com

They will help out.

And instead of mainstream consumer brands, how about some lesser known pro competition audio brands like Fi Car Audio/Ascendant Audio, Sundown Audio, Soundsplinter, Mach5Audio, and Incriminator Audio. They are what are winning the World Finals dB drags.

Take everyone advice about a good head unit. How about an Eclipse H/U?

Just a thought, let me know if you need help with anything.

Take a look at

www.realmofexcursion.com
www.soundsolutionsaudio.com

and if you're interested, I'll let you know
I'm pretty much a SQ guy but my setup gets pretty loud if needed. I listed my setup below if anyone wants to know what it is.

Head Unit: Alpine CDA-9887
Front Stage: Ascendant Audio 7" Midbasses and Morel MDT 22 Tweets
Front Stage Amp: Sundown Audio SAX-100.4
No Rear Fill
Substage: Fi Q 15" d2 in a 4.0cuft box tuned at 31Hz(it takes up my whole trunk)
Substage Amp: Sundown Audio SAE-1000D
Big 3 Ground Wires

Also, on that note, being loud is 90% enclosure and 10% equipment, you can have the most beastly looking subs, but if you're box sucks you're gonna not have much output.

^^^Like what this guy said. It really depends on your budget, that's for sure.

The Fi Q is an excellent SQ sub. Too bad the Stereo Integrity Magnums aren't quite as good as they were.

I am. I think I have more posts on that than I do here...

And I think I got something in the gap of the motor of the XXX when I soldered on new terminals. So I have to play around with it. It scratches right now. I may have to recone it.

That blows, hope to you resolve that.

Any company, you going for that recone, if not Soundstream themselves?

I don't really like to post on RoE actually at all, someone is gonna say what you're gonna say anyways really , ha so why waste my energy, lol.

I'll recone it. I haven't done one, but no better time than now to do it!

And ROE has it's ups and downs. A lot of people are highly opinionated and sometimes wrong.

LVL4's. I hit up Rusty and the LV4XL's aren't too badly priced. I think 2 of those 15's and my SAZ-3000D would be a perfect combo!!!

Get back on your thread DJfrozoooone!!!

I think lvbitwiz found you a sub on eBay.
