So im looking for an exhaust that sounds nice, and im not sure which one of these guys to choose from.

 

Go to youtube, listen to everything you can find. Choose from there.

 

^^^^ I understand that, but being that almost every exhaust sounds the same on the computer, i know they differ in real life

Depends what your going for, the megan will net you more hp than the hks, because the hks is just an axle back. The megan is cat back. Just throwin that in there...

 

if you buy a megan ill come to your house and shoot you ;) kidding but the megans are crap listen to me i know... i own one and now im buying an agency power...

 

Megan products are very low quality I highly reccomend that you get anything but Megan lol. HKS is a very good choice. It was my second choice next to the Tanabe Concept G

 

I got an HKS Hi-power and absolutely love it. it sounds amazing. not ricy at all. That's actually one of the compliments that I get about it all the time. That its not ricey at all. Its got a nice deep growl at low RPM, Loud when you step on the gas. and quiet when you're easy on the gas. I drove down from NY to FL with it and it didn't bother me a single bit.

 

HKS sounds and looks 10x better than Megan in my opinion.

 

HA I guess thats honest. Looks like ill be getting the HKS on tuesday. So is the HKS and axleback or not because ive heard yes and no

megan every day of the week, its louder, deeper, and has more tone, with axle backs u cans till here the stock engine sound, but the cat back is soo much better, megan hands down.....

 

i'm facing the same question as you...HKS or Megan but i am leaning more towards megan bec. it cost like 300 and its an catback...and sounds gr8!!

 

HKS, I love mine. Not too loud for a DD, doesn't drone on the freeway. It looks better than megan imo...

 

okay so most cat-backs cost +500 dollars right? If Megan is able to sell a full cat-back for less than the cost of most axel-backs, what does that say about the quality? High quality systems like HKS will never rust while the Megan systems will. I have seen many people with megan headers that are rusted out and look horrible and their exhausts arent any different.
