i love the look of the S-tech drop, but i cant afford a set of aftermarket shocks to compliment them. i know my stock shocks would wear a lot quicker than normal but how long should i expect before i'd have to change them? also, what are the consequences of my shocks 'going out'? would it just be a sloppy ride or would it cause serious damage to the rest of the car?

FYI, your O.E. dampers could fail in as little 2-3 months, a lot depends on how and where you drive your vehicle. I have had people report driving as long as a year before they felt the need to change to O.E.'s after installing lowering springs. We always recommending changing the O.E.'s out at the same time, other wise you will face double labor and alignment costs. Regarding the loss in performance, it could range from sloppy handling to loss of control of the vehicle, or and all out failure of the damper!

Does this go for the tC TRD lowering springs also? How many miles do you think it would be before my stock shocks go out?

Im interested as well, what shocks would you reccomend going to after installing S-Tech springs? would the TRD ones suffice or no?
