Default custom fiberglass enclosures where to buy?

so, im looking to install a couple of 13" jl w5 on my tc, i want them in fiberglass enclosures that'll go perfectly on the sides of the hatch. i've seen a few, but most are for 10" subs. anyone know of a good place (in bay area)/ or site that make good quality. i heard that the enclosures greatly effect the output of the subs so, i want somehting good, again good price too thanks ahead of time

yea i doubt you gonna find anywhere that carries what your looking for.
its gonna have to be custom made, and idk what your expecting to be a good price but fiberglass, labor, and paint isnt usually to cheap...

custom fiberglass enclosures where to buy?
Then it wouldn't really be custom, now would it?

Like mentioned, you're probably not just going to be able to buy that one setup you're looking for - unless someone that has something similar is selling it in the classifieds.

i have something...
but you cant have it.
and your subs wouldnt fit anyways.

your best bet is to find someone who does Fiberglass work locally and just pay them to do it. prob cheaper then any shop youll go to also.

well, im not very familiar with this site so i posted it here thinking it was the section that best fit what i am looking for... as for local audio shop prices, a few months ago when i got a w7 set up i asked about custom fiberglass enclosures and he said that was about $6k, now im SURE that is overpriced for what im looking for(if it were that price, not many tc's would have it, but they do so that goes to show thats not a good price)... which is why i am still looking around..

$6K!?
what did he think? u wanted your whole interior fiberglassed? haha
i wouldnt be surprised if it did run you about $1K or $2K though.
obviously most of the cost is gonna come from labor, thats why i recommended you find a friend to do it.

by "Custom" i mean it is made to fit specifically my car aka a stock 05 tc.. AND for the particular set up i want (2-13"jlw5 one on each side) ummm i think thats pretty custom.. and im asking for sites/places you know of that can do it ...

im not sure i understand what your saying; you say i wont be able to get it unless someone that has something similar is selling it, well how did THAT person that is now selling it, get it in the first place?[/quote]

THANK YOU! this is exactly what i was looking for (except i already asked them for a quote ) thank you though.. so far they sound reasonable (for a 12"w7 set up they quoted me 600) but i havent researched the quality/reviews of their products. have you had any experiences with them?

ya I would like a set too that would hold 12's if they could do it. I would like to see it first and specs of how it will turn out and the space and mounting depth they could do.

I haven't had any experience with them so far. I've requested a whole bunch of quotes and they've been able to quote me prices cheaper than local shops. They have 100% positive feedback on Ebay too. another site to check out would be bassforms http://www.bassforms.com/ProductDeta...ctCode=BF210TC
$225 for each enclosure in the rear corners.

Well I emailed them and they said they may be having a decrease in price from 250 to around or less then 200 which may be a good and okay deal. Another site here sells for 200 and can make one for the other side upon request for 250.

moved this thread to regional pac mid.

oh man.. there's plenty of good resources in the bay area to get audio work done.

you should come out to the meets around here, and if you can, swing by chefbamm's get-togethers whenever he holds one.

he had one last weekend, and the next one is supposedly right after HIN. keep an eye out.

you can also contact Bing who runs an audio shop called Simplicity in Sound. he's in the bay area and has done a bit of fiberglass work. check out this thread: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=234399

he should help ya out.

I am a big fan of his too. I like how some of his installs don't even use fiberglass and still looks amazing.
