I am told by a dealer from out of state that they have installed an upgrade to the stereo system.

Pioneer with Amp and sub package. What I need to know is if it is worth the extra dollars that they are charging for it. They say it is a $1500 upgrade.

Does that make sense to any of you? I need to get this info asap as I am ordering this XB RS

 

That seems like aolt for just the upgraded HU and probably sum run of the mill sub and amp, BUT it is a dealership and they inflate thier prices like crazy...

It should only be around $800 tops for an ok sub, box, amp, and HU...

 

depends how you look at it. can you get it for less somewhere else? absolutely. is it worh it to you to have all that stuff under warranty? for a lot of people it is. at my dealership, all those loaded cars sell really fast despite the mark up over street price. it's easy, you get the car how you want it right off the lot, and you can finance everything in the deal.

that said, i bought my car bone stock and did everything myself.

 

That 's a bit to much i say!! check to see if you can find what your looking for outside the dealers door, as said before by randomsuper....IMO do a little homework i did and upgraded my o4 xB with 2nd gen radio with out any problems it was plug & play...i tel the dealer and they say No WAY it will not work !! i check on here on the forum and found all the info i needed......
