Greddy bankruptcy
never really liked there stuff that much anyway. it seems like there has been a power shift between jdm and usdm after market companies in the last couple of years. companies like greddy, and hks, used to have the best products. now its companies like garrett, full-race, ams, buschar, aem, hydra, tial, skunk2, and peakboost to name a few.
wow this sucks, I think Greddy is one of the best Turbo kits out there for the Scions. It's the only kit to come through our shop with no issues, and what's funny is that I think Scion folk overlooked Greddy because they all thought that kit put out less power... interesting though that it has the record on our dyno over every other kit that has come through, including Turbo Toyotas, Dezod, ZPI, and Turbonetics.
This could actually drive the price down because the retailers and mailorder places that carry their stuff will have no way to honor a warranty or offer upgrades down the road-means maybe I can afford a Supercharger sooner but no warranty fall back.

the only good thing about the kit was the turbo. wastegate=garbage, piping=garbage, couplings=garbage, and some of the other small stuff.
though, once i replaced the wastegate and such, it was getting much better numbers than others, so i agree with u on that.
my numbers
306hp/320tq at 8.5psi
i must say that that honestly you are the only person who I have spoken to who had issue with the wastegate. That's saying a lot. Only way to mess that up is if the actuator rod itself gets bent.
Piping, all the pipes fit well compared to other kits. the aluminum used is of quality so i dont know what is wrong with the pipes that you mention. they dont rattle, they don't scrape the ground (like other kits) and are routed in a way that makes sense.
Couplers, i have heard that issue but i have had mine for a long time and have not had one rip yet, only added stress will cause that... poor insallation on pipe clearances will cause couplers to flex more than usual. That's an issue not caused by the manufacture but by the fact that the tC motor moves a crap-load.
I have seen, worked on, and dealt with many different Turbo kits for the tC, I don't go by what i read on this forum because 99.9% of people on here just go by hear-say and are biased. The Greddy Kit is the best out there until the P Tuning kit is released. I've tried getting that out there many times but folks are so caught up with pretty exhaust manifolds and horsepower numbers which subside in users signatures. It's sad to see Greddy go

I've heard only the Japanese division is going down, and the American division is going to keep going.
Either way, I've never really liked Greddy, their stuff is overpriced.
