Default Sound after removing second catalytic with Magnaflow Muffler

Hello people,

I recently installed a custom axleback to the car with a Magnaflow 14210 muffler (The one with inlet and outlet on the same side). The problem is I was looking for more sound, but it barely changed from stock sound. I was wondering if any of you knew how louder can the car get is I replace the second cat with straight piping. I wont the like the car to be too loud; I was going for the volume level (not tone sound) of say the Infiniti G35s, BMW 3 series etc, which sound sporty from factory but not loud. Of course I know the car will never sound like any of those but I was going for at least that level of loudness (Sporty sound only when accelerated). So I hope any of you who have done this can shed me some light on this. I have no header, s-pipe etc, just the muffler, and aint planning of getting a midpipe any time soon. Hope you can help me, and you have any sound clip, please post it. Thanks.

Removing the second cat should make the exhaust considerably louder. If you were doing that, I would also replace the stock mid-pipe with a 2.25" or more.. and add a resonator. It should sound good.

What if I replaced the second cat with a resonator? Will the sound increase be less? Or else replacing the stock resonator with a smaller one, like a Magnaflow or something. I just want a little sound increase but not be annoyingly loud.

Honestly...you should have gone with a true catback if you want the deep but not too loud deal. Also consider adding an intake for a little extra sound...
